ciscoconf
Ciscoconf is a simple script-based tool, which allows you to backup the configuration of Cisco routers.
You need the expect packages installed to use this tool
1. Introduction
Ciscoconf is a simple shell script which backup the configuration of Cisco Routers. The script uses expect to establish a telnet connection to a specific Router. Then it will fetch the current configuration and compare it with the last known config. If the configuration has changed, ciscoconf will save the new config in a special folderstructure.
2. Using ciscoconf
./ciscoconf Hostname Routername Password Secret-Pw [Username]
Hostname Hostname or IP-address of the Cisco-Router
Routername Free selectable name of router, will be the foldername which includes the configs
Password Password to establish connection or password of user
Secret-Pw Password for the enabled mode
Username Username to authenticate with at the Cisco-Router
